Recently Amazon, Dell and Google announced their results. While Google did quite well, Amazon and Dell are experiencing some difficulties. All of them have show top line growth. Google has shown this type of growth at decreasing cost while Dell and Amazon spend more for this growth. All of them have invested heavily in information technology based platforms. While they mostly use this platform to buy market share in one segment, they are hoping to use this base to expand to new markets. A quick analysis of their revenue streams over spending shows that Google is getting more from their platform, while Amazon and Dell have flattened out.
