AT&T wants to renegotiate a deal signed in 2001 with Yahoo! When the original deal was signed AT&T needed Yahoo! to access customers. As a result AT&T paid Yahoo! to gain access. Now with the change in the competitive environment and with Google having signed a deal with Myspace that could result in ~1 billion dollars in ad revenue for Time Warner, those earlier deals seem very outdated. I wonder if Panama can help Yahoo! redo this deal to suit the current climate.
